Quality Matters: How Our Quality Management System Benefits Our Customers

Meticulously following instructions, double-checking numbers and bottles, acknowledging mistakes, documenting them, and continuously improving processes may seem tedious. However, these actions are among the most visible aspects of our daily operations in the lab, reflecting our commitment to quality—one of our three core values. Every step, every verification, and every correction are taken with one goal in mind: ensuring our clients receive their valuable data with the highest standards of accuracy and reliability. Therefore, a robust Quality Management System plays a key role in our operations.

Admescope’s Quality Management System (QMS) was originally introduced to streamline and harmonize our everyday processes several years ago, but even more importantly a consistent approach allowed us to focus on what matters most – our customers. The QMS is maintained, developed and managed by a dedicated quality manager on site with dozens of SOPs and guidelines guiding our operations. In addition, part of the QMS is aligned throughout the Symeres wide organization.

We believe the principles behind all quality systems, such as documentation, traceability, and accountability—are essential for ensuring also research quality. Although we don’t follow the full GLP protocol, we embrace many of its key elements alongside the core principles of the ISO 9001 standard and relevant regulatory requirements. Our QMS incorporates robust documentation practices, internal audits, and rigorous tracking of study details, which help us maintain high standards of quality and ensure the reliability of all our research outputs.

Our QMS is designed to maintain flexibility while providing a solid framework that allows us to tailor each study to meet customer-specific needs. While GLP is not required for the type of research services Admescope provides, such as in vitro DDI investigations even for IND purposes, ensuring data reliability and quality remains essential. To achieve this, we utilize well-characterized and appropriately set up test systems, with well controlled protocols. Again, our QMS helps us uphold the highest standards of quality and scientific rigor, ensuring the integrity of our work.

Customer feedback, internal audits, and cooperation are all contributing to the continuous improvement of our system. Doing things properly from the start saves also time, which is often critical for the clients’ projects. Our “fit-for-purpose” quality system ensures we work efficiently, without compromising on quality, and allows us to maintain fast turnaround times without overwhelming daily operations. Our IT system also supports our quality processes. Customers can trust us with their data, as our cybersecurity and data integrity are backed by Symeres’ strong IT infrastructure.

While quality is at the core of everything we do, we also offer an extra layer of oversight if the clients want to add this option to their most important assays e.g. to support regulatory communications.  Every study includes regular quality control (QC), where the study documentation, test articles, assays, and reports are reviewed by scientists or study directors based on checklists and this level of QC is sufficient for all the types of assays carried out at our labs. Additionally, our quality manager can perform a supplementary QC at any stage of the study to ensure everything has been conducted according to plan. Any findings are documented in the study report.

Quality isn’t just about getting things right the first time; it’s about being dedicated to excellence at every stage, ensuring that every product or service meets our standards. It’s a process that requires patience, attention to detail, and a continuous drive for improvement, which are essential for maintaining the trust of our clients and delivering value consistently.
