We are happy to introduce our newest team member, Katja Pasternack, who recently joined Admescope as a Business Development Scientist. Katja brings great ADME/DMPK expertise with a background in the pharmaceutical industry to support our clients to success in their projects.
Katja holds a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Eastern Finland. She has almost 20 years of experience as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry in different stages of research and development projects from idea evaluation to IND enabling studies at Orion Pharma and Organon. She has worked mainly in the ADME field – both in vitro and in vivo – including in vitro toxicology.
During the years spent in the pharma industry, Katja has worked closely with CROs in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and analyzing the results of non-clinical studies conducted at CROs. “Now it’s time to jump to the opposite side of the table and look at things from a new angle. My new role as a Business Development Scientist is also a jump out of my comfort zone, being in a more commercial role but still staying close to the science. I look forward to utilizing my long experience in pharma to help customers with their challenges.”
Outside of work, Katja enjoys spending most of her free time with her husband and 4 children, most often outside enjoying the nature of Finland. Different home projects keep her busy. “There is always something to renovate, either in the house or in the garden, or at the cottage located 1 hour from her home. Planning, coordinating, monitoring and analyzing works well also in the home field.” she says.
