Meet the team; Iiro Kiiski, Study director

Posted on June 24, 2026

I joined Admescope in January 2023 directly from Tokyo, Japan, where I did a non-DMPK-related detour as a postdoc in research related to molecular robotics. Before that, I gained my PhD from the University of Helsinki where I developed microreactor technology for applications in the study of drug metabolism.

I work as a study director in our DDI team, where I am currently mainly responsible for enzyme inhibition and induction studies. These range from fast turnaround screening assays to tailor-made custom assays for specific customer needs. A lot of my time is spent communicating with customers before, during and after the actual work in the lab gets done. This is also the part I like the best in this line of work. Seeing your expertise make a difference in helping customers reach their goals and being part of potential future success stories is a reward in and of itself.

In my free time I love spending time with loved ones (both two- and four-legged varieties) and enjoying the small, good things in life. I am also known for my passionate love for karaoke.
