Admescope welcomes Dr Laszlo Szilagyi, the newest member of the Business Development team, who will support the EU and APAC activities with his broad pharma and CRO experience.
Laszlo worked on macromolecule characterization with LC-MS/MS during his PhD. After his graduation he got familiar with pharma sales and business development and spent 9 years in different sales head positions at Sandoz, such as, Country Sales Head and Regional Sales Manager. Besides that, Laszlo has previously worked as a Study Manager and Head of the APAC and CEE business unit in an ADME in-vitro CRO company. In addition, he has been involved in the BD activities of a medicinal chemistry CRO focusing on custom DNA encoded libraries, photochemistry services and synthesis development as consultant. Most recently Laszlo gained insights into the in-vitro diagnostic field as well, since prior to Admescope he was involved in the development of a novel efficacy prediction diagnostic tool for infliximab at EGIS Pharmaceuticals.
“I recently spent one week at Admescope Oulu facility for trainings, meeting with the scientific and BD team and visiting the labs. I’m really excited to join this highly skilled ADME-Tox team. Besides the outstanding scientific knowledge and state of the art instruments I have found here a great team with transparent teamwork atmosphere. “ he said.
Laszlo −a father of three− is from Hungary and currently a part of his life is dedicated to Kyokushin Karate now as he is preparing for his next belt exam. He likes travelling, tasting local foods and drinks, visiting local markets, historical places and sanctuaries. Laszlo has become a fun of experiencing different cultures being impressed by their diversity.
Outside of work, Laszlo loves any kind of sport activities whether it is scuba diving, swimming, cycling, or hiking. During his visit his sport skills were also tested.
“The long-lasting sunlight and the pleasant temperature during the summer in Oulu enable you to recharge your batteries after a hard day’s work. We did so with Miia and Maija when we went kayaking till we saw the northernmost arm of the Baltic Sea”.
Laszlo is especially looking forward to a collaborate also with Sascha Hartmann and Norimasa Morita, who are responsible for business development for the corresponding areas for Symeres’ services, the parent company of Admescope.
